About The Webinar

Acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases are commonly encountered in dogs in general practice, and diarrhoea is a common manifestation of these. Acute diseases are frequently caused by diet and parasites, and causes of chronic gastrointestinal diseases include conditions such as idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease, food allergy and neoplasia. Diagnosis of these conditions can sometimes be challenging, and optimal management strategies are often not established. Using current best evidence, this presentation will review the management of selected gastrointestinal diseases in dogs. We will also discuss the reasons for, and consequences of, cobalamin deficiency in chronic gastrointestinal diseases and consider data to support oral cobalamin use.
