About The Webinar

Spinal cord injury is a relatively common presentation for veterinarians. Effective management is dependent on an accurate history, a thorough neurological examination and sound clinical reasoning. Many cases can be managed medically or surgically depending on the clinical presentation, owner wishes and finances. In this lecture we discuss how to approach spinal cord injury in small animals and review common surgical techniques used to treat these conditions. We will also discuss prognosis and outcomes of common conditions following surgery to better aid veterinarians in making decisions on how to manage these cases and if to refer for specialist care.
