About The Webinar

This seminar will help you to understand how to assess small animal fracture patients in a systematic way leading to rational treatment selection. We will cover assessment of the fracture itself, including consideration of the biological and biomechanics characteristics of the fracture and how this is used to provide a fracture score. Potential treatment strategies are then further assessed in the context of surgeon and owner factors. We will look at the situations when either a carpenter (bone reconstruction) approach or gardener (biological osteosynthesis) approach would be selected. Finally, we will go through some cases to illustrate the process of fracture assessment and treatment selection
