About The Webinar

This webinar covers a broad spectrum of small animal orthopaedics first principles by discussing injuries sustained by dogs falling from cliffs. The first half of the talk discusses carpal injuries, encompassing a discussion of carpal anatomy, injuries (collateral ligament ruptures and hyperextension injuries) and their management. Management of open fracture/luxations is included. Management of a case with bilateral severe carpal injuries sustained during a fall is described in some detail. The second half of the talk focusses on tibial fracture management. Discussion incorporates management of simple common proximal tibial fractures and an understanding of the significance and treatment of non-union (viable and non-viable) and malunion fractures. Management of a case with a six-week old tibial non-union/malunion fracture following a fall is described.
