About The Webinar

This webinar will cover some of the main infectious diseases of Rabbits: Rabbit Viral Haemorrhagic Disease, Myxomatosis, and E. cuniculi. These are amongst the most common reasons for presentation of companion rabbits to veterinary surgeons working with both owners and rescue centres, and are a common subject for questions. We will discuss the history of these diseases, and their diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention. These diseases are potentially fatal, variably preventable and the implications of having a native wild rabbit population which can act as a reservoir of infection will be discussed. vaccination strategies will be discussed for the first 2, and for the latter, we will focus on diagnosis and treatment.
