About The Webinar

Endocrinopathies can cause some significant systemic changes which could create challenges for an anaesthetist to manage during anaesthesia. An anaesthetist should know the complications associated with anaesthesia, and other things to consider when generating an anaesthetic protocol for a patient with endocrine disease.
This webinar is broken down into sections; Firstly, we will look at how to properly create an individualised anaesthetic plan for a patient, before looking at the individual endocrine disorders. We will cover conditions affecting the thyroid, pancreas, and adrenal glands. In each section, we briefly discuss the specific disease, the considerations for anaesthesia and how to manage the patient through the peri-anaesthesia period.
