About The Webinar

“Fluids: Beyond Isotonic Crystalloids” is a review of all fluid types available for clinical use. The majority of the talk will discuss how fluids are classified, the movement of water between body fluid compartments, and when types of fluids other than isotonic crystalloids may be indicated. Additional information such as how to determine patient/fluid tonicity, the endothelial glycocalyx and implications of the revised starling equation, and treating patients with hypernatremia will also be discussed.
