About The Webinar
When we triage patients in the emergency clinic, we assess their circulatory function, their respiratory system and the neurological status. This lecture will focus on the common neurological presentations to the emergency veterinary practice. We will first take a look at the most common clinical presentations we might expect to see upon triage.
This lecture will run through admitting these patients, speaking to the client, stabilising the patient on arrival and common life-threatening signs to look out for. We will then discuss how best we can nurse them when they are admitted and run through the ways in which the different presenting conditions are treated. Through the use of case studies we can then see how putting these tips into practise can benefit both the patient and the nursing care.
