About The Webinar
Urethral obstruction is a common feline emergency presentation. We have been taught about it at university and treated many in practice. As with many diagnostics and treatments which we perform what is the evidence behind those, and what has been investigated? We know that if can take considerable time even when things are published for it to considered standard of care. Do you know why you use a certain urethral catheter, flush the bladder, resuscitate with specific fluids and even perform or not perform a cystocentesis? Hopefully this webinar will highlight the evidence that we have (and don't have), and it is not just based in single institutions to highlight what we think that we know and how that might help us reconsider some dogmas/axioms that we have in the treatment of this relatively common emergency.
