About The Webinar

This webinar will focus on indications for the use of external coaptation and principles of application for fracture management in cats and dogs. After a brief review of fracture reduction techniques and case selection, placement of different types of bandages, splints, casts and slings will be discussed. These will focus on modified Robert Jones bandage, spoon and lateral splints, and half and full casts. Schroeder-Thomas and spica splints as well as various slings will also briefly be reviewed. The webinar will conclude with recommendations about monitoring and maintenance of commonly applied forms of external coaptation.
