About The Webinar

There has been a continuous evolution of internal fixation in veterinary surgery, and new and more advanced stabilization methods have been developed. Recently, the locking plating system was introduced in veterinary medicine and this has changed how we approach these fractures. This webinar is focused on the locking plate technology and its differences with conventional plates. We will cover how this technology was born and the philosophy behind it, as well as how it evolved over time until the current systems available now. We will also talk about the indications to use locking plates vs. conventional plates. There are several locking plate systems available in the market, and we will go over the most common locking plates used in small animals and the principles and rules for their use.
