About The Webinar
CSF analysis is an important diagnostic test that is indicated when a patient has neurological signs that are referable to the CNS. CSF can be collected from the cerebellomedullary cistern (cisterna magna) or caudal lumbar site. Ideally CSF analysis should be performed prior to myelography to exclude meningitis since clinical signs may be exacerbated by radiopaque contrast medium-induced meningeal irritation. Myelography can be used to identify compressive and expansile lesions of the spinal cord. This presentation discusses techniques used for CSF collection, myelographic injection sites and provide example of typical and less typical myelographic abnormalities.
