About The Webinar

This webinar will focus on a logical and stress-free approach to head trauma cases in practice. Many of these cases may be unfit to travel for referral at the time of presentation, meaning that their initial management in a first opinion setting can be so important, and rewarding. The session will cover how to triage these cases, why initial systemic stabilisation is so important and how head trauma can result in traumatic brain injury and increased intracranial pressure. It will follow a step-by-step approach that includes the neurologic assessment, prognostic indicators, seizure management and post-traumatic epilepsy, management of cases with suspected increased intracranial pressure, whether steroids should be administered and how to support these animals into their recovery.
