About The Webinar
Lameness in young dogs is a common problem in first opinion practice, but localising the lameness, making a diagnosis and then advising the owner how best to proceed can be challenging.
This webinar aims to demystify the challenge of the lame young dog by using a simple, common sense approach to achieving a diagnosis. We will use case examples to highlight a number of conditions of young dogs such as elbow dypslasia, hip dysplasia, shoulder osteochondrosis, panosteitis and metaphyseal osteopathy. Treatment options will be discussed, based on our current evidence based medicine knowledge.
We will cover some common fractures of young dogs such as lateral condyle and tibial tuberosity fractures, and the best management options for these.
