About The Webinar
The vestibular system is the primary component of the nervous system responsible for maintaining the balance. It coordinates movements of the head with movements of the eyes, trunk, and limbs. Common clinical signs of vestibular disease are head tilt, vestibular ataxia, loss of balance, pathologic nystagmus & circling. It is often difficult to correctly neurolocalise a vestibular disease and only minor differences exist in the clinical signs of vestibular system dysfunction between lesions of the peripheral vestibular system and the central vestibular system. In this talk, Luca will focus on the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system to help clinicians to correctly neurolocalise the vestibular diseases.
