About The Webinar

Monoparesis can appear like a lameness due to orthopedic disease. When it is due to neurological dysfunction there are several abnormalities of a neurological examination that we should be aware of, distinguishing from other causes of weakness. The diagnostic considerations for a neurological dysfunction affecting one limb often relate to diseases affecting nerve roots or peripheral nerves. These include trauma, inflammation, neoplasia and vascular diseases. The evaluation and diseases responsible for a case presenting with monoparesis will be covered in this session using video footage to highlight the most important examination points.
