About The Webinar

Use of radiographs in the diagnosis of orthopaedic conditions is extremely common but sometimes imperfectly executed. The purpose of this seminar is to give practitioners a refresher in the key components of successful orthopaedic radiography in order to enhance their clinical practice. The principles of accurate image acquisition and interpretation will be discussed. A review of positioning aids, use of calibration markers and restraint will be included. Common orthopaedic conditions with their hallmark radiographic findings will be covered in detail as well as some of those less frequently encountered. The limitations of orthopaedic radiography and discussion of when alternate diagnostic modalities may be better will also covered. Finally, how to maximise the value of second opinions will be explored.
