About The Webinar

This webinar is aimed at nursing staff who are interested in exotic pets, or who are working within a practice where exotic pets are regularly seen. It is designed to give nursing staff confidence when handling exotics species for sample taking. There is a discussion of how samples may be taken- including locations for blood samples as well as a discussion of how these samples should be handled once they are obtained. Because the sample volumes/sizes achievable from many exotics species are small, test prioritisation is also addressed. This webinar deals with haematology, biochemistries, serology as well as faecal, urine and culture/sensitivity testing. Finally test results, and what they mean are evaluated, so that their place in clinical management may be clarified.
