Ian Battersby
BVSc DSAM DipECVIM-CA MRCVS
RCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Ian was awarded the RCVS and European Diplomas in Small Animal Internal Medicine in 2005 and RCVS Specialist status in 2007.
Ian works in the internal medicine department at Davies Veterinary Specialists, and with Ronan Doyle developed the DVS interventional radiology service. Ian is the current Vice Chair of the Small Animal Medicine Society and chaired the group which developed the BSAVA/SAMSOC, 'ARE YOU PROTECTING?' antibiotic poster. Ian was awarded the BSAVA Melton award in 2013 for meritorious contributions to small animal practice. Ian’s other interests include his work as Specialist Medicine Consultant for the charity Mission Rabies and is a trustee of the charity.

RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
Rebecca graduated from Cambridge and initially worked in general practice. She then followed her passion for Internal Medicine by completing a PhD on GI disease in the GSD and the RCVS Diploma in Small animal Medicine. She is an RCVS recognised specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Rebecca joined North West Surgeons to start an internal medicine referral service in 2009. This has now grown to include three full time medics with support from, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and cardiology. Rebecca maintains an interest in all aspects of small animal medicine, but is especially fascinated by GI and Endocrine disease
