In this webinar, we will cover the different causes of anaemia and how to differentiate acute from chronic anaemias. We will discuss how to take a logical diagnostic approach to anaemic patients, including what tests you can perform in your practice. We will look at how to stabilise anaemic patients that present as emergencies. We will also cover common misconceptions associated with transfusion therapy for our anaemic patients, including when and how transfusions should be administered, when to blood type patients, when to cross-match them and what blood products to use.
