About The Webinar

Ureteral diseases in dogs and cats include mainly obstructions and congenital malformations such as ureteral ectopia.
Ectopic ureters (EU) are the most common cause of urinary incontinence in juvenile female dogs and are often associated with UTI (urinary tract infections), urethral sphincter mechanism incompetence (USMI) , and renal dysplasia.

Ureteral obstructions are most commonly associated with ureterolithiasis, ureteral strictures, and trigonal neoplasia of the UVJ.
The series of physiologic events that occurs after ureteral obstruction is complex, and after relief of the obstruction, changes continue to occur in the previously obstructed kidney.
This webinar will deal with the main ureteral surgical conditions and their treatment options.
