About The Webinar

This presentation explores the concept of Risk in Small Animal Orthopaedics and the relationship between Risk and Complication and Safety and Efficacy in surgery. Our job as surgeons is to choose the most effective therapeutic option for our patients. Of course not all options are available to or suitable for all patients and some of these constraints will be explored in this webinar. Having considered this aspect we will move on to explore those factors that have an impact on post operative outcome by influencing the potential benefit of our surgery and the likelihood of complications. This of course is a large topic, however I hope that even a superficial examination of it might change the way we think about Orthopaedic Surgery in general and our role in particular.
