About The Webinar

Treating zoo species as a part of a first opinion caseload can be really rewarding in terms of team building, developing new skills and getting to work with more exotic animals. This webinar will walk you through the many considerations you should take prior to committing to having a zoo ‘on your books’. It’s critical that veterinary surgeons are aware of legal requirements and best practice recommendations amongst zoological collections in order to advise properly. Equipping your clinic and training staff to deal with exotic animals are just as important as knowing where to turn when you come across an unfamiliar species. And, of course, what are some of the specifics of zoo veterinary medicine? Caring for a local zoo collection is an excellent opportunity for engagement within your community as well as ensuring the health and welfare of captive exotic animals.
