About The Webinar

The lecture will run through the care of diabetic patients from those that present with newly diagnosed diabetes and how these are treated, through to those that are on long term therapy. Newly diagnosed patients can range from collapsed ketoacidosis cases that are suffering from multiple concurrent issues to those that are picked up when investigating other issues. The lecture will discuss treatment regimens with different types of insulin, monitoring protocols and interpretation of serial glucose charts. For those long term cases we discuss the nurses’ involvement in diabetes clinics and how important the nurse involvement is in compliance and achieving remission or stabilisation.
