About The Webinar

Anaemia is a relatively common presenting sign in small animal practice and a thorough understanding of this problem is extremely important. Anaemia is not a disease in itself and there are many possible underlying causes. This session will cover the causes of both regenerative and non-regenerative anaemia with some case examples. The acute and chronic management and nursing of the anaemic patient will be discussed and this will include transfusion therapy. Blood typing and cross matching will be covered along with the types of blood product available for anaemic animals. At the end of the session you will feel more comfortable in recognising and nursing anaemic patients.
