This session will clarify the current status “stem cell therapy” – an often confusing and rapidly changing sector. In addition, requests and advice in this area often come from clients through their exposure to media reports. Nomenclature will be explained prior to discussion of the biology and evidence around cell based therapeutics. In addition, the regulatory framework will be discussed as well as consideration of the different commercial systems available. BY the end of the session, delegates should have a grasp of this area so that they can discuss issues with clients and colleagues with increased confidence.
