About The Webinar

The webinar will offer a practical approach to the seizure patient. During the session we will use our clinical reasoning skills to decide how to best approach a patient with seizures, to define and refine the problem, ensuring in the first place that the events our patient is experiencing really represent epileptic seizure activity. Based on this evaluation we will explore when and which type of work up is most appropriate in order to define the system involved and localise the lesion within that system. We will also discuss the general guidelines that the international veterinary epilepsy task force has developed regarding the diagnostic methods in patients with seizures and we will review the recommendations regarding initiating and terminating antiepileptic treatment.
