About The Webinar

In the United Kingdom, rodents are commonly as kept pets. Although easier to look after than dogs or cats, their needs can still be surprisingly complex. Due to the variety of rodents now available in the pet market, it is important that veterinary surgeons understand the husbandry requirements and common diseases encountered.

Endocrine conditions occur with relative frequency in small pet rodents, therefore it is crucial veterinary surgeons know how to approach these cases.

This webinar considers the clinical presentations and predisposing factors of the most common endocrine disorders and reviews the treatment options available.

Rodent species discussed include guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, degus, gerbils and hamsters.
