About The Webinar

This CPD will review anaesthesia in reptiles, including tortoises, snakes, lizards and crocodiles. We will start with a good anatomical and physiological review, followed by the description step-by-step of the procedure to safely and effectively anaesthetize any species of reptile. Ways to administer drugs, monitor anaesthesia and respond to emergencies will also be discussed. The CPD will be illustrated with 75 pictures and 5 videos to facilitate comprehension of the methodology. Doses and ranges will be provided for all drugs and reference values. During the last minutes we will also review the developing research topic of analgesia in reptiles.
