Aidan is one of the editors of the BSAVA manual of Poultry Medicine and the co-author of the reproductive disease chapter in addition to the clinical exam and orthopaedics chapters. He practices exotic animal medicine in Manchester in a team with 4 other exotic animal veterinary surgeons where back yard poultry are a significant part of the caseload.
In the webinar he starts by running through the significant comparative reproductive anatomical differences before covering the commonly seen reproductive problems in a practical way. Most of the texts that cover avian reproductive problems concentrate on psittacines, but there are significant differences between psittacine and chicken reproductive diseases.
