In this webinar we will discuss the main topics related with radiographic contrast studies of the genito-urinary tract that are important for veterinary nurses working in small animal practice. We’ll talk about the types of contrast media available and the general principles of preparation of the patients. We’ll discuss the common types of radiographic contrast studies of the genito-urinary tract that can be performed, including intra-venous urography, cystography and urethography. For each type of contrast study, the correct technique, indications and contra-indications will be discussed. Examples of the different types of contrast studies will be shown to illustrate their usefulness in clinical cases.
