About The Webinar

This webinar will cover traumatic hip (coxofemoral) joint injuries that we commonly see in the dog and cat in orthopaedic practice. Pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of coxofemoral luxations, proximal femoral and acetabular fractures will be covered. Practical advice will be given on standard surgical approaches to the coxofemoral joint and acetabulum to access and treat these injuries. The webinar will then concentrate mainly on management of coxofemoral luxation highlighting advantages and disadvantages of the most commonly used techniques. The session will finish with decision making for management of acetabular fractures and salvage options for chronic or irreparable acetabular or proximal femoral fractures.
