About The Webinar

Blood collection and transfusion can be daunting if, performed rarely or required under pressure in a critical situation. Since the introduction of the Pet Blood Bank, it is rarely necessary to collect dog blood, however cat collections are still necessary. This talk will focus on;

  • which donors are the most suitable
  • how to safely collect both dog and cat whole blood
  • the volume to be transfused
  • the importance of monitoring for transfusion reactions during and after a blood product administration.
