About The Webinar

This Point Of Care Ultrasound For Emergency and Critical Care will discuss the clinical scenarios in which POCUS can provide rapid and useful information. The different protocols that have been described will be discussed, highlighting their current use at our institution. From abdominal POCUS to detect free abdominal fluid, to assessment of the pleural space and lungs, over POCUS of the cardiovascular system and use of POCUS to guide different procedures. Which techniques appear to be easy to master, and which require some additional training. Moreover, although POCUS undoubtedly is a useful and life changing technique, nothing is perfect and every change in habit comes with some questions and concerns. It is therefore also very important to briefly discuss the pitfalls will you probably encounter when starting to integrate the use of POCUS in your practice.
