About The Webinar

The webinar will start with how to recognize different respiratory patterns in order to differentiate pleural disease from other causes of dyspnoea. Following the recognition of suspected pleural disease, one has to consider how to provide emergency treatment to a dog or cat. Diagnostic tests will be described and the choice of the most appropriate test for different situations will be discussed. The most common clinical presentations, including traumatic pneumothorax and pyothorax, will be described in more detail. The use of small gauge chest drains, as a more practical alternative to trocar drains, will be demonstrated.
