About The Webinar

Dystocia is a common emergency presentation in bitches, especially in some pedigree breeds. But what are the causes of dystocia, and what can we do about it? This webinar will look at what we can expect in a normal parturition, and contrast that with what happens when things go wrong. The focus will be on what signs to look out for, indications for intervention, and the options open to us to help the bitch and puppies. If the case progresses to caesarean section, then preparation, patient positioning, anaesthetic techniques and aftercare all have a large impact on survival of mum and pups.
