This presentation covers the diagnosis, treatments and prognoses of primarily racing fractures of the carpus, tarsus and metacarpus/metatarsus. The aetiology of these stress fractures is described. Particular emphasis is on accessory carpal bone fractures and the multiple presentations of central tarsal bone and calcaneal fractures.
