About The Webinar

This webinar will look specifically at the nursing care involved when dealing with recumbent patients. These patients are unable to carry out many of the normal, basic functions themselves, and so as nurses, we have to do this for them. They are often complex patients to nurse, having a number of co-morbidities, meaning ensuring vascular access is essential, providing fluid therapy, as well as ensuring the appropriate nutritional support is addressed. All these aspects of nursing care will be reviewed in detail, including practical aspects, such as respiratory techniques, analgesia, physiotherapy, urinary and faecal management.
