About The Webinar

As veterinary medicine advances, we are beginning to see increasing commitment from owners in terms of the quality of care for their pets, and their expectations. As a result, we are seeing increasing numbers of animal that are living longer lives. Despite the fact that age is not a disease, age is accompanied by a progressive impairment of the major organ systems and the development of age related disease processes. This webinar will look at the changes that occur to those organ systems with age, and will explain the physiological changes that occur to allow nurses to consider the individual needs to these geriatric patients in terms of nursing care, anaesthesia and surgery, in order to give these patients the best treatment we can.
