About The Webinar

Toxin exposure whether through ingestion or skin contact can frequently cause neurological signs. These signs can relate to CNS or peripheral nervous system dysfunction. Overall the nervous system has a limited way to respond to toxins and does so through excitation or inhibition. Therefore the signs of toxicity are rarely specific for an individual toxin leaving diagnosis to be difficult. This session will deal with how to approach the suspect toxin patient and how to symptomatically treat if there is no specific antidote. Toxins such as ivermectin, organophosphates, permethrins and mycotoxins will be dealt with individually.
