This webinar will cover the entire anaesthetic period, from preparation for anaesthesia, through patient assessment, induction of anaesthesia, maintenance of anaesthesia to the recovery period. Although the webinar will focus on the canine brachycephalic breeds, the points discussed will also be applicable to feline breeds.
Essential pieces of useful equipment will be highlighted along with tips on minimising stress to both the patient and the veterinary nurse during the anaesthetic period. The importance of patient assessment along with a thorough patient history will lead into preparing the patient for anaesthesia, assisting the veterinary surgeon with induction of anaesthesia and intubation and monitoring the patient into the recovery period will be discussed.
Finally, the recovery period will be discussed in detail, highlighting its importance as a part of the anaesthetic process.
