About The Webinar
Back pain is a frequent cause of poor performance in competition horses and yet definitive diagnosis of underlying pathology can be challenging and determining the clinical significance of lesions in the back and correlating with clinical signs can be difficult. Diagnosis is usually based on physical examination, diagnostic imaging (including radiography scintigraphy and ultrasonography) and diagnostic analgesia. This presentation reviews recent publications about diagnostic imaging of the thoracolumbar spine in horses and discusses some of the more common causes of back pain and their diagnosis.
