There are many different ways to fix fractures, however internal fixation using implants such as pins, plates and screws is a reliable and commonly used approach. This webinar will cover the basics of implants, fracture healing and internal fixation with a particular focus on plates and screws. Clinical applications and the principles underlying conventional and some of the more common locking fixation systems will be discussed, with their relative advantages and disadvantages. The webinar will be particularly helpful for anyone interested in developing their understanding and background on internal fixation or wishing those with experience looking to revise the principles and considerations
