About The Webinar

Head and oral trauma are a common presentation in veterinary practice, which often arise from Road Traffic Collisions, kicks and bites from other animals, and from falls from a high height. They represent a significant challenge to repair, as orthopaedic repair techniques used in other areas are often not applicable owing to the limited bone for fixation, and the high number of adjacent vital structures. This presentation will cover the initial treatment and stabilisation, repairs of basic fractures in order to preserve dental occlusion through to repair of complex fractures. The presentation will also cover the significance of dental trauma to jaw fractures and how repair of these can be integrated into the treatment plan.
