About The Webinar

IOHC, or humeral condylar fissure (HCF), is encountered commonly in small animal practice in the UK. The condition, which preferentially affects spaniel breeds, is characterized by formation of a sagittal fissure across the humeral condyle. Diagnosis using standard radiology can be challenging, and computed tomography (CT) is often recommended. Dogs can be presented with either partial or complete HCF, which can produce variable clinical signs, or they can be presented with a condylar fracture. Treatment of HCF is controversial, and historically has been associated with a high complication rate.

In this webinar the aetiology, diagnosis and treatment of HCF will be discussed in detail. Recent developments in treatment options, which have led to a decreased complication rate, will also be covered.
