About The Webinar

Immune mediated haemolytic anaemia (IMHA) is a commonly encountered disease in small animal patients. Challenges occur due to frequent misdiagnosis, failure to respond to treatment, thrombotic complications or medication side effects. There are a wide array of treatment options available for clinicians and clients to navigate their way through and the recommendations can often appear overwhelming or contradictory. In this webinar we will discuss the accurate identification of IMHA and a logical, evidence based approach to its treatment, with a major focus on immunosuppressive and anti-thrombotic strategies. This will draw on a good understanding of the disease as well as recent guidelines produced by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
