About The Webinar

A dog’s hearing or sight can be impaired due to a multitude of factors. Whatever the cause, the veterinary practice is usually the first port of call and is ideally placed to offer guidance on how to manage and minimise the effect of any sensory loss that cannot be rectified. This webinar will start by looking at how dogs use their senses to communicate and navigate the world around them, so the veterinary nurse can better understand the impact of hearing or sight loss. It will then consider practical ways in which clients can protect, communicate with, exercise and entertain dogs with sensory loss, to alleviate both the owner and dog’s distress and to restore quality of life.
