About The Webinar

This webinar will take you through how to assess and treat a patient presenting with head trauma. We will discuss the pathophysiology involved in traumatic brain injury. You will learn how to use the Modified Glasgow Coma Score, neurologic posture and pupil sizes to help you assess traumatic brain injury patients. You will also learn how to recognise the Cushing’s reflex and the pathophysiology behind what it is and why it occurs, as well as learning what to do about it. We will focus on what factors need to be considered when treating these delicate patients and what treatment goals to aim for, including how to nurse the traumatic brain injury patient. By the end of the webinar, you will have the knowledge to treat traumatic brain injury with confidence.
