About The Webinar

Head trauma is a common issue to deal with in practice but can present a daunting prospect with challenges including both the evaluation and treatment of the patient. The main conundrum is how the evaluation of animals with head trauma causing traumatic brain injury can help determine the therapeutic choices as well as the prognosis. In this session, we will discuss the practical manner in which a dog or cat with head trauma can be evaluated neurologically with the aim being prediction of individual prognosis and guiding therapy. The therapeutic options will be addressed in the order in which they should be introduced based on the severity of the injury and their evidence based use will be discussed.
