Whether it’s post-op care, or nursing a critical patient, the quality of care given to an inpatient has a direct effect on comfort, mortality, risk of hospital acquired infection, length of hospital stay and ultimately prognosis. Paying close attention to detail, and knowing what needs to be taken care of, when and how has an enormous impact on the animals in our care.

  • How to assess a patient’s fluid and nutrition requirements, and how to deliver them
  • How to take care of the respiratory tract, and avoid complications
